What can I charge for as a host?

Guide to what you can make money from when hosting RVers on RV Overnights

Updated over 4 months ago

We want our hosts to maximize their profits as much as possible. So, in addition to your normal offerings, here is a guide to additional money makers as a host.

Please Remember: As a host on RV Overnights, we do require that you provide one night of RV Parking, at no fixed cost, to our members, in exchange for their promise to spend a minimum of $30 at your establishment.

OK. That being said, here is a list of all the things you can charge extra for to drive more revenue. Please keep in mind, none of these can be a mandatory part of a members stay, they must be optional.

Great Things to Charge For:

  • Additional Nights

    • The first night should be at no fixed cost, but you can charge for additional nights. Just keep your price reasonable so members stay with you instead of going to an RV Park.

  • Electrical Connections

    • These don't have to be dedicated high voltage outlet, just a place for RVers to keep their batteries charged while on site.

  • Water Connections or Fills

    • If you have a hose bib, RVers constantly need water while traveling!

  • Trash Disposal

    • If you have a dumpster that goes empty weekly, charge a nominal fee for a bag of trash. RVers will love it!

  • WiFi Connection

    • Have good wifi by where our members park? Offer the password for a small fee while on site.

  • Firewood

    • Only if you have and allow firepits, Firewood is a great money maker!

  • Tours

    • A tour is a great way to make some extra income per guest, without having a lot invested!

  • Equipment Rentals

    • Have a pond? Rent Kayaks. Rent Fishing Poles. Depending on what you have, the possibilities only end with your imagination.
